What you will bring
- 0 – 2 years of professional software development experience
- Highly motivated self-starter with advanced capability to quickly learn, and work with new technologies and complex technical environments, including a variety of databases and operating systems.
- Experienced in Node.JS, Java, Hibernate, JPA, Oracle, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Knowledge with Java, J2EE, SQL
- Experience in Restful Microservices using NodeJS.
- Experience in Grails would be plus.
- Experienced in REST, JSON, XML, and asynchronous communication (e.g., queues, topics, streams)
- Experienced in building web services and/or cloud-based software.
- Experience with Agile software development practices such as XP, Lean Agile, Scrum, and Kanban
- Familiar with common data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented and basic functional idioms
- Working knowledge of GIT and collaborative development practices (e.g., Pull Requests, feature branches)
- Well versed in Object Oriented Design and Principles
- Understanding of basic Linux and command line usage
- Demonstrated ability to author highly readable code.
- Familiarity with Integration Tests and Test-Driven Development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability for critical thinking and problem solving.
