About ISRO HSFC: Human Space Flight Centre is located in Bangalore. The primary mandate of HSFC is to spearhead ISRO’s Gaganyaan programme through co-ordinated efforts and focus all the activities that are carried out in other ISRO centres, research labs in India, Indian academia and Industries towards accomplishing the mission.

HSFC is responsible for end-to-end mission planning, development of engineering systems for crew survival in space for short and long term missions, involve in crew selection and training, and initiate activities for sustained Human Space Flight missions. HSFC will focus on the development of engineering systems related to the Orbital Module, human centric technology domians of Bioastronautics, Crew training and Life support, basic and applied space sciences, human and robotic space exploration, space habitats and gateways etc. HSFC will also play the role of a technology aggregator to bring together the national expertise in diverse disciplines for multi-directional growth and capacity.

ISRO HSFC Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

Medical Officer – SD:

  • Aviation Medicine: MD in Aviation Medicine from a recognized University (or) Institution. Minimum two years experience is desirable. With MBBS Degree from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Sports Medicine: MD in Sports Medicine from a recognized University (or) Institution. Minimum two years experience is desirable. With MBBS Degree from a recognized University or Institution.

Medical Officer – SC:

  • MBBS Degree from a recognized University (or) Institution + minimum 2 years’ experience.

Scientist Engineer – SC:

  • Structural Design: M.E./M.Tech in Structural Engineering/Civil Engineering (or) equivalent. With pre eligibility qualification B.E./B.Tech in any discipline.
  • Instrumentation Engineering: M.E./M.Tech. in Instrumentation Engineering (or) equivalent. With pre – eligibility qualification B.E./B.Tech in any discipline.
  • Safety/ Reliability Engineering: M.E./M.Tech. in Safety/ Reliability Engineering (or) equivalent. With pre – eligibility qualification of B.E./B.Tech in any discipline.
  • Industrial Production/ Industrial Management/ Industrial Engineering: M.E./M.Tech. in Industrial Production/ Industrial Management/ Industrial Engineering (or) equivalent. With pre – eligibility qualification of B.E./B.Tech in any discipline.
  • Safety/ Industrial Safety: M.E/M.Tech. in Safety/ Industrial Safety (or) equivalent. With pre – eligibility qualification of B.E./B.Tech in any discipline

Technical Assistant:

  • Mechanical: First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized State Board.
  • Electronics: First Class Diploma in Electronics Engineering from a recognized State Board.

  • Photography/ Cinematography: Diploma in Photography/ Cinematography from a recognized State Board.

Technician-B:

  • Fitter: SSLC / SSC / Matriculation Pass + ITI / NTC / NAC in Fitter trade from NCVT.
  • Electronic Mechanic: SSLC / SSC / Matriculation Pass + ITI / NTC / NAC in Electronic Mechanic trade from NCVT

  • Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks or CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale as declared by any recognized University, with a pre-requisite condition that the graduation should have been completed within the stipulated time i.e., within the duration of the course as prescribed by the University;
  • Hindi Typewriting speed @ 25 words per minute on computer;
  • Proficiency in the use of Computers;
  • Knowledge in English Typewriting (desirable qualification).

Selection Process for ISRO HSFC Careers:

  • The selection process will be based on Screening/Written Test/Skill Test/Interview
  • Based on the performance in the Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted for Interview / Skill Test, generally in 1:5 ratio with a minimum of 10 candidates to the category-wise number of vacancies.
  • For generation of the final panel in respect of post codes 04 – 09, 50% weightage shall be given to Written Test marks and 50% weightage to interview marks.
  • Medical Officer –‘SD’ /’SC’ posts, a written Test purely for short listing purpose may be conducted on need basis.
  • The final selection will be solely based on marks scored in the interview.
